The chase without the terror. It is reported more often than the standard account of this dream would predict, and it is almost always left out of dictionary entries because it does not fit the tidy reading.
People describe it variously as a game, as routine, as tedious, or simply as something happening that they were not especially bothered by. Some report knowing, without being lucid, that nothing would actually happen.
Dream emotion is not reliably proportionate to dream content in either direction. This is the direction people find harder to believe.
