Being unable to speak or move

Dreaming about shouting and being ignored

What does it mean when people cannot hear you in a dream?

The sound comes out. Nobody turns. This is distinct from the silent scream and the difference is worth keeping. Here the failure is in the world, not in the body.

Reports describe people carrying on as though you were not speaking, or looking straight through you. It shares that structure with dreams of being invisible, and several people report both.

What it is not is evidence about how people regard you. A dream that casts others as unresponsive is assembled from your material, and it is a poor witness.

Where this reads well

A dream where you can act, even without effect, is different from one where you cannot act at all.

Where it is harder

Easy to over-read into real relationships. Resist that; the dream does not know anything about them.

Worth asking yourself

Who did not hear me? Was I audible to myself?

Dream interpretation is subjective. Nothing here is a diagnosis, a prediction, or medical advice.
