Wind

Dreaming about wind blowing things away

What does it mean to dream about papers or leaves blowing away?

Reported often, and dreamers describe the carried thing as what made them notice the wind at all.

Leaves, dust, papers, washing. The wind is invisible, so a dream shows it by moving something, which is the same solution anybody drawing wind would reach for.

Where the thing carried belongs to the dreamer, and particularly where it is paper with writing on it, the reports change and belong with the losing-something material. Dreamers describe chasing, not catching, and frequently report being unable to read what was on it anyway.

That inability is the text instability this database describes throughout, and it turns up here as reliably as everywhere else.

Where this reads well

A clean example of how dreams render the invisible, and easy to notice once pointed out.

Where it is harder

Chasing papers is a small, wearing frustration, and dreamers report these as tiring rather than frightening.

Worth asking yourself

What was being carried? Was it mine? Could I read it?

Dream interpretation is subjective. Nothing here is a diagnosis, a prediction, or medical advice.
