The same dream again

A recurring dream that has stopped

Why did my recurring dream stop?

Worth writing down for one reason: most recurring dreams stop, and almost nobody notices when.

Dreamers describe realising months later that one has gone, and being unable to date it or connect it to anything. That is the usual report, not the exception.

It matters because of how it feels while it is happening. People with a recurring dream commonly describe being stuck with it permanently, and the reports do not support that. They end, they end without ceremony, and they end without the dreamer resolving anything in particular.

Some return years later, which dreamers describe as strange rather than distressing, and they are usually the returning-place kind.

Where this reads well

The most reassuring thing this record has to offer, and it is a plain observation rather than a comfort.

Where it is harder

Not being able to say what stopped it means there is nothing to do deliberately, which is unsatisfying if you want one gone now.

Worth asking yourself

When did I last have it? Can I date roughly when it stopped? Was anything different then?

Dream interpretation is subjective. Nothing here is a diagnosis, a prediction, or medical advice.
