What does it mean to dream about being below deck?
Where a boat is small and the water is the subject, a ship is a building that happens to be at sea, and the reports show it: interiors dominate.
Dreamers describe corridors and levels far more than they describe the sea. Doors, stairwells, passages that turn.
That puts a large share of these with the staircase-building material rather than with the water entries: levels that do not reconcile, stairs that produce more stairs, and a structure that is all circulation.
The distinction from the boat entry is worth keeping when journalling. One is a dream about water; this is a dream about architecture with water outside it.

Where it is harder
Confinement below deck is reported as more oppressive than an equivalent building on land.
