Dreaming about a mask you cannot take off
What does it mean to dream you cannot remove a mask?

Dreamers report concealment and suffocation together: the mask will not come away, and breathing is difficult. Check the breathing first. Difficulty breathing during sleep is common, treatable, and readily incorporated into dream content, and a mask is an efficient thing for a mind to reach for when the airway is obstructed.
With no waking breathing problem, the reports still divide from the masked-figure version. That one is about being unable to read somebody else. This is about being unable to be read, which dreamers usually describe as the worse of the two.

Where it is harder
Where it recurs alongside waking gasping, heavy snoring or unrefreshing sleep, that pattern is a matter for a doctor rather than a dream journal.

Could I breathe? Do I wake gasping or with a dry mouth? Was anybody else there?
