Dreaming about books whose titles you cannot read

Why can I not read the titles in a dream library?

The second feature, and it is the text-instability finding that the book, screen and glasses entries all describe.

Dreamers report titles that will not come into focus, or that read as one thing and then another. The spines are visible; the words are not.

A library is the densest possible concentration of text, which makes it the hardest thing a dream can be asked to render, and it fails comprehensively rather than partially.

That density makes it an excellent reality check. Anywhere with a lot of writing is a good place to notice you are asleep, and a room built entirely out of writing is the best of them.

Where this reads well

A strong lucidity cue and one that dreamers are already looking at.

Where it is harder

Mild. These reports are described as curious rather than frustrating, unlike the station board.

Worth asking yourself

Could I read a single title? Did they change? Did I try twice?

Dream interpretation is subjective. Nothing here is a diagnosis, a prediction, or medical advice.
