What does it mean to hear your name called during a dream?
A smaller group, and the reports are noticeably less vivid than the sleep-boundary version.
The name is called within the dream, by somebody in it or from off-scene, and dreamers describe it as ordinary rather than striking. Several report turning towards it and finding nobody, which moves the report towards the voices material.
The contrast with the boundary experience is the useful part. The same event is described as unforgettable in one context and unremarkable in the other, which suggests the vividness belongs to the state rather than to the content.
Where a name is called and not heard, that is a different report and belongs with the queue and being-ignored material.
