A place that was two places

Dreaming about a place that was two places at the same time

What does it mean to dream somewhere was two places at once?

The setting version of the composite person, and just as common. Dreamers apologise for these in exactly the same way: it was my school and it was also my grandmother's house, and that was fine.

The absence of conflict at the time is the important detail. Nothing in the dream objected. The objection arrives on waking, along with the embarrassment of trying to describe it.

There is no reason for a dream to enforce that a place be one place. Identity is asserted rather than derived, for buildings as much as for people, and two assertions can be held at once because nothing checks them against each other.

Nobody should apologise for reporting this. It is one of the most consistent things dreamers describe.

Where this reads well

Dreamers are usually relieved to hear how ordinary it is, having assumed the report made them sound confused.

Where it is harder

None. These are reported as interesting rather than troubling.

Worth asking yourself

Which two places? Did I notice at the time? Which one did it look like?

Dream interpretation is subjective. Nothing here is a diagnosis, a prediction, or medical advice.
