Dreaming about looking into a well
What does it mean to dream you are looking down a well?
A well is a hole with water at the bottom of it, and the reports are about the looking rather than the water.
Dreamers describe being drawn to look down, and report a pull towards the edge they find hard to describe. That is the same sensation the tower and roof reports produce, arriving somewhere much smaller.
Depth that cannot be seen is the second feature, and it produces the same unease the dark-water reports do: a boundary the dream does not have to generate past, and nothing underneath because nothing was made.
The a-hole entry describes the general case, and this is that with an expectation of water added, which turns out to change surprisingly little.
Where this reads well
Placing it with the hole material explains the disproportionate pull, which dreamers rarely connect themselves.
Where it is harder
The combination of a small opening and unseeable depth is efficient at producing dread with nothing in it.

Could I see the bottom? Did I want to look? What did I think was down there?
