What does it mean to dream something is written on your skin?
A small and distinctive group with a very reliable feature: the dreamer cannot read it.
The marks are there, they are clearly deliberate, they are clearly meant for the dreamer, and the text will not resolve. Dreamers describe trying repeatedly and getting a different impression each time.
That is the text instability this database describes throughout, arriving in the most personal possible place. Dreams cannot hold writing steady under inspection, and it makes no difference that the writing is on you.
The wanting-to-know is what dreamers report, more than the marks themselves. It is the same frustration as the diagnosis with no name and the directions that make no sense.
Where this reads well
A good one to log for anybody working on reality checks, since it is text at its most attention-grabbing and it still will not hold.
Where it is harder
The sense that there was a message and it was withheld is the durable part, and dreamers often assume they failed rather than that there was nothing there.
Worth asking yourself
Did I try to read it more than once? Did it change? Who had written it?
