Shop

Dreaming about a shop that is impossibly large inside

What does it mean to dream a shop is bigger on the inside?

Common, and it belongs with the impossible-space material that runs through the house entries.

The frontage is ordinary and the interior is vast, with floors and departments the building could not contain. Dreamers accept this entirely at the time and report it as odd only on waking.

What separates this from the library is the emotional register. Endless shelving is reported calmly; an endless shop is reported as disorienting, and dreamers frequently mention wanting to leave and not finding the door.

That difference appears to be about purpose. A space you are browsing can be unbounded pleasantly. A space you are trying to complete a task in cannot.

Where this reads well

A good comparison case for the impossible-space pattern, since the same geometry reads so differently here.

Where it is harder

Not finding the exit is the part dreamers remember, and it recurs.

Worth asking yourself

Could I find the way out? How big was it? Was I browsing, or trying to finish something?

Dream interpretation is subjective. Nothing here is a diagnosis, a prediction, or medical advice.
