Typing that produces nothing, or produces the wrong characters. A cursor that will not go where it is sent. A button pressed repeatedly with no response.
Typing is a fine motor sequence, and fine motor sequences are what dreaming renders worst, for the plain reason that the muscles are switched off and the intention returns nothing. It fails in exactly the way dialling a number fails, and the phone entry describes the same thing.
Logged next to the running, the gripping and the shouting, this stops looking like a dream about technology.
