What does it mean to dream your house has been broken into?
The version that dominates the reports, and the emphasis is not on what was taken.
Dreamers describe the fact of somebody having been in the space, and frequently describe rooms in detail. Discovery after the fact is the characteristic structure: the dreamer arrives and finds it done.
That is the same discovered-state pattern the ring and infidelity entries describe. Dreams supply states rather than the moments that produced them, so the entry is never witnessed and the aftermath always is.
What is missing is often trivial or impossible, and dreamers find that disproportionately upsetting, which is the clue that the loss was never the subject.
Where this reads well
Recognising that the taken object was never the point usually explains why the feeling did not match it.
Where it is harder
Violated space is among the more durable dream feelings and dreamers report checking real doors.
Worth asking yourself
What was taken? Did that match how upset I was? Did I see it happen?
