What does it mean to dream about an empty road at night?
The most reported version: an empty road in poor light, the dreamer travelling along it, and nothing on either side.
The emptiness is the content. Not threat, not obstacle, just an absence of anything to navigate by. Dreamers frequently report not knowing where they are going and not finding that strange until they wake.
Dreams generate what attention falls on, and on a road at night attention falls on the road. There is no reason for the country either side to exist, so it does not, and dreamers describe exactly that: darkness where the landscape should be.
