Dreaming that something is wrong with a pregnancy
Is a bad dream about pregnancy a warning?
No, and the answer matters more than usual here, because the people asking are often frightened.
Anxious and distressing pregnancy dreams are extremely common during pregnancy. Recall and vividness both rise, and worried content rises with them. A dream about something going wrong is what an ordinary, well-functioning mind produces when a person is carrying a real and important uncertainty, and it is evidence about that uncertainty rather than about the pregnancy.
It is not a premonition. There is no mechanism by which it could be, and treating one as a warning has a cost: dreamers report scanning every subsequent dream for confirmation, which makes the dreams worse.
Real medical concerns belong with a midwife or doctor, who can actually check.
Where this reads well
Learning how normal these are is reported as relieving, which is the whole purpose of this scenario existing.
Where it is harder
The fear is real even when the content is not, and it deserves a plain answer rather than a symbolic one.
Worth asking yourself
Am I pregnant now, or was I? What specifically was wrong? Have I asked anybody who can actually check?
Dream interpretation is subjective. Nothing here is a diagnosis, a prediction, or medical advice.
