Dreaming about hiding from the police

What does it mean to dream you are running or hiding from the police?

The pursuit group, and it behaves like the rest of the chase material rather than like the arrest reports.

Dreamers describe sirens, being sought, and concealment that is never quite adequate: a room with no door, a space too small, cover that thins as they watch. Being caught is rarely reported. The dream is the pursuit.

The difference from the arrest version is worth logging. That one is about consequence and this one is about anticipation, and they follow different waking conditions. Chase reports track avoidance more often than guilt, which is why they resolve when the avoided thing gets dealt with.

The pursuer being police rather than an unknown figure is largely a matter of what the dream had available.

Where this reads well

Where dreamers stop and turn round, the reports change character sharply, which is the finding the being-chased entry is built on.

Where it is harder

The unresolved ending is the durable part, and it is why these recur more than most.

Worth asking yourself

What was I hiding from, exactly? Was I ever caught? What am I currently avoiding?

Dream interpretation is subjective. Nothing here is a diagnosis, a prediction, or medical advice.
