What does it mean to dream about having no phone signal?
A narrower version of the general failure, and the reports have a distinct emotional flavour: isolation rather than frustration.
Dreamers commonly describe moving to find signal, holding the phone up, or walking somewhere higher, and describe the effort as futile in a way that repeated dialling is not. The dialling reports are about the device; these are about being out of reach.
Where somebody specific is being called, that person is usually the informative part of the dream rather than the phone. Dreams reach for whatever conveys not being able to get to someone, and a dead signal does it economically.

Almost none. This is one of the lonelier images in the modern material.
Where it is harder
Dreamers frequently report the isolation persisting after waking, more than the frustration does.

Who was I trying to reach? Did I keep moving to find signal? Is there somebody I have not been able to get hold of?
