Nails behave in dreams exactly like teeth and hair: they come away, they grow wrongly, and they multiply. All three are keratin, all three are reported the same way, and that pattern is more interesting than any of them alone.

What is notable is that the three keratin structures behave identically in reports. That is unlikely to be about keratin and much more likely to be about how dreams handle body parts that are attached, visible, and grow.
