Dreaming about a letter you cannot make out
Why can I not read a letter in a dream?
Where it is opened, the text problem applies exactly as it does to books, screens and signs.
The words do not resolve, or change between glances, or are in a script that is nearly familiar. Dreamers describe rereading and getting something different.
The urgency is usually high, because a letter is addressed to them specifically, which makes this one of the more frustrating versions of the reading failure.
It is also one of the most reliable reality checks, for the same reason. If you are holding something written and it will not hold still, you are asleep.
Where this reads well
A strong lucidity cue attached to an object dreamers are already concentrating on.
Where it is harder
Being written to and unable to read it is a specific frustration and it rarely resolves.
Worth asking yourself
Did the words change? Did I try twice? Could I read anything at all?
Dream interpretation is subjective. Nothing here is a diagnosis, a prediction, or medical advice.
