What does it mean to dream about covering up a killing?
The commonest version by a wide margin, and it is an anxiety dream rather than a violent one.
The act is over and usually unseen. What dreamers describe is the aftermath: concealment that will not hold, evidence that keeps reappearing, and the specific dread of somebody arriving.
That structure is the examination dream and the being-late dream with the stakes raised to catastrophe. The same compounding difficulty, the same approaching discovery, the same absence of any resolution. Logged next to those it stops looking like a dream about violence at all.
The victim is frequently unidentified, and where they are identified dreamers are usually horrified by the choice and can connect it to nothing. That is ordinary dream construction, not a disclosure.
Where this reads well
Where dreamers confess in the dream, the reports often resolve and are described as an enormous weight lifting.
Where it is harder
The dread of discovery is the durable part, and it is the same dread the exam dreams produce in people who never sat one.
