Dreaming about harvest
The subject of the single most famous dream interpretation ever recorded, and dreamers still invoke it unprompted. The seven fat and seven lean years is doing more work in these reports than anything about agriculture.

Abundance or failure is the whole of it. Fields that are full, or fields that are not, and dreamers describe the state before anything else.
The biblical narrative is invoked directly by a noticeable number of dreamers, which is unusual: very few dream images come with a specific interpretation already attached in the dreamer's mind.
Working a harvest is a smaller group and belongs with the effort material.
A harvest that cannot be gathered in time is a distinct report and is the unresolving-task structure in a field.

The failed harvest carries real weight for dreamers who hold the narrative, and it is worth being clear that the dream is not a forecast.
The cannot-gather-in-time version is the ordinary obstacle machinery.
Psychological perspectives
This entry is the clearest case in the database of an interpretation preceding a dream. A dreamer who knows the Joseph narrative has a reading available before they wake, and that shapes what they report.
That is worth taking seriously as a general caution: dream reports are not raw data, they are already interpreted by the time they are written down.
Continuity is weak for most modern dreamers, very few of whom harvest anything.
Cultural and historical
The seven fat and seven lean cattle and ears of corn, and their interpretation, is among the most widely known dream narratives in the world and appears in the Hebrew Bible and the Qur'an.
Harvest festivals and first-fruits offerings are practised across a great many traditions and are serious observances rather than folklore.
This is the entry where the tradition is most likely to be inside the dreamer already, and the entry says so rather than presenting the reading as a discovery.
