Dreaming about somebody else's hair
What does it mean to dream about another person's hair?
Less reported than dreams about the dreamer's own, and almost always about recognition. Hair is one of the features dreams use to identify a person, and a change to it is one of the ways dreams signal that somebody is not who they appear to be.
The commonest version is a familiar person whose hair is wrong, and the dreamer knowing who they are anyway. That sits with the composite-person material: dreams identify people by knowledge rather than by appearance, and appearance is free to drift.
Where the hair belongs to somebody who has died, reports are tender and belong with the visitation material instead.
Where this reads well
Where it is somebody the dreamer is fond of, these are reported warmly and unremarkably.
Where it is harder
The wrongness can be unsettling out of proportion to the detail, which is characteristic of recognition failures generally.
Worth asking yourself
Whose was it? Was it wrong somehow? Did I still know who they were?
Dream interpretation is subjective. Nothing here is a diagnosis, a prediction, or medical advice.
