Dreaming you are dead but still present
What does it mean to dream you are dead but still watching?
A distinct group and the one closest to the uncanny end of the database.
The dreamer has died and is still in the room. They watch the reaction, or fail to be seen, or try to speak and are not heard. The two facts sit together without contradiction until waking, exactly as they do when somebody living is known to be dead.
The being-unseen part is what dreamers report, not the dying. It shares its shape with the being-ignored material and with the invisible dreams, and those are better places to log it than here.
It is not an out-of-body experience and it is not evidence about what happens after death. It is a dream in which the dreamer has been given a vantage point and no voice.
Where this reads well
Where somebody does notice them, dreamers report the relief vividly, which is the clue to what the dream was actually about.
Where it is harder
Not being heard is the durable part, and it long outlasts any distress about the death itself.
Worth asking yourself
Could anybody see me? Did I try to speak? Who was in the room?
Dream interpretation is subjective. Nothing here is a diagnosis, a prediction, or medical advice.
