City

Dreaming about a city with the wrong layout

Why is the city in my dream not laid out like the real one?

The most reported feature here, and it is a combination rather than a single fault: accurate detail and impossible layout, held together without objection.

The city is definitely a named place. Streets from one connect to landmarks from another. Dreamers name it confidently and describe individual buildings correctly.

Cities in dreams are usually composites, and the composite-person entry describes exactly the same construction applied to people. A place can be assembled from several and still be asserted as one, because the label is held separately from the contents.

Nothing reconciles them, so nothing objects.

Where this reads well

A clean instance of the composite pattern at large scale, and easy to check against a real map.

Where it is harder

None. Dreamers report these as interesting rather than troubling.

Worth asking yourself

Which city did I think it was? What was actually in it? Did I question it?

Dream interpretation is subjective. Nothing here is a diagnosis, a prediction, or medical advice.
