Dreaming about a car crash
What does it mean to dream about crashing a car?
Reported considerably less often than the control dreams, which is the opposite of what most dream dictionaries imply.
Two things are consistently described. The impact is rarely the end of the dream, and dreamers frequently report continuing afterwards with the crash simply having happened. And the injury is usually absent: dreamers report the event without the consequence.
Where a dreamer has been in a real collision these reports are a different matter and belong with the trauma material rather than with the rest of this entry. That distinction is worth making before anything else, because the two look identical in a journal and behave nothing alike.
Where this reads well
The frequent absence of injury is worth knowing about in advance. Dreamers often expect the dream to be worse than it is.
Where it is harder
For anybody with a real collision behind them, this is not an ordinary dream and should not be read as one.

Was I hurt? Did the dream continue afterwards? Have I been in a real crash?
