What does it mean to dream you arrive too late?
Less common than the struggle, because the dream usually ends before the outcome. Where it does arrive, dreamers report the emptiness rather than any consequence: the room cleared, the chairs stacked, everybody gone.
Nobody is angry. That is the consistent detail and the strange one. These dreams almost never contain a reproach, and dreamers frequently report wishing there had been one.
The absence of consequence is what separates the being-late family from a genuine fear of being late. What is reported is the missing rather than the trouble.

Occasionally reported as a relief, particularly where the event in the dream was unwanted.
Where it is harder
The flatness is the durable part, and dreamers often describe it as more dispiriting than the chase to get there.
