An infant that speaks in full sentences, walks, or behaves with adult composure, and the dream raises no objection at all. Dreamers report noticing the strangeness only after waking.
This needs no special explanation. Dreams do not check whether an ability belongs to an age, in the same way they do not check that a house has the right number of rooms. The absence of surprise inside the dream is the ordinary state of dreaming rather than a feature of this image.
