Dreaming that something is about to happen
What does it mean to dream something is coming and never arrives?
A certainty that something is coming, with no information about what, and no arrival.
Dreamers describe it as the atmosphere of the dream rather than as an event, and frequently cannot say what was expected.
It is present in the being-watched reports, the storm reports, the waiting-room reports and much of the Bestiary, which is a wide enough spread to suggest a common source rather than a shared subject.
That source is structural. Dreams sustain the state before an event far better than they produce the event, which is why the chase does not end in capture, the fog delivers nothing and the knock is never answered.
Where this reads well
The single most portable observation in this database, and it reframes dozens of records at once.
Where it is harder
Unresolved anticipation is what makes dreams recur, and these are among the most repetitive.
Worth asking yourself
What did I think was coming? Did anything arrive? How did the dream end?
Dream interpretation is subjective. Nothing here is a diagnosis, a prediction, or medical advice.
