What do people report about a figure at the end of the bed?
The single most consistently described position across the whole archive. Reports place the figure at the foot of the bed, upright, facing the sleeper, and almost always motionless.
Three features recur across otherwise unconnected accounts: the figure does not approach, it does not speak, and the dreamer is certain it is aware of them. Where accounts differ is in detail: height, whether a face is visible, whether the room is otherwise normal.
The position has a plausible basis. Sleep paralysis leaves a sleeper supine, able to move the eyes but not the head, and the foot of the bed is what a supine sleeper can see. That does not explain why the figure is reported so consistently as watching, and this archive does not pretend it does.

The consistency here is real and independent of belief. It is one of the better-evidenced patterns in the archive, and it does not require any supernatural reading to be genuinely notable.
Where they differ, and what to be careful of
Consistent reports are evidence about the state, not about the figure. A shared description across sleepers tells you something about human sleep, not that anything was in the room.
