Being told something you cannot remember on waking
Why can you never remember what you were told in a dream?
The defining feature of this entry, and the reason it is rated emerging: dreamers consistently report that something important was conveyed, and consistently cannot say what.
The certainty survives the loss of content. People describe knowing it mattered, knowing they understood it at the time, and retaining nothing.
There is a plain account available. Dream memory is poor, abstract content is lost faster than imagery, and a feeling of significance can persist after the material that produced it has gone. Whether that fully explains these reports is not settled.
What the reports agree on
The pattern is unusually consistent. The same absence, described the same way, by people who have never spoken.
Where they differ, and what to be careful of
An entry built on content nobody can report is the weakest thing this archive holds, and it is rated as such. Nothing here should be taken as evidence that anything was communicated.
Worth recording if this was yours
Did I understand it at the time? Is anything left: a tone, a subject, a single word?
Dream interpretation is subjective. Nothing here is a diagnosis, a prediction, or medical advice.
