Why do dead relatives appear doing everyday things in dreams?
Cooking. Gardening. Sitting in their chair. The most reported version of this figure by a wide margin, and the one dreamers most often struggle to explain the significance of, because nothing happens.
The ordinariness is the finding. Accounts converge on unremarkable domestic activity, performed calmly, with the dreamer present and usually not addressed. Where a message is expected, none arrives.
That is worth knowing in advance, because the absence of a message is frequently read as a failure of the dream. In this collection it is the norm.
