Dreaming a window looks out on the wrong place
What does it mean to dream the view from a window is wrong?
Reported often enough to note, and described with the same flat acceptance dreams give to most impossibilities.
A bedroom window onto the sea. A first-floor view at ground level. A familiar house looking out on somewhere the dreamer has never been. Nobody objects at the time.
That is the talking-animal finding again: large impossibilities pass unremarked, while small inconsistencies between things that must agree sometimes do not. A view has nothing to be checked against.
A window that will not open is a separate report and belongs with the things-that-do-not-work family. Broken windows appear far less often than dream dictionaries suggest, and where they do they usually belong to a wider setting rather than being the subject.

Correcting the broken-window expectation is worth doing, since it is a staple of the genre and not what people report.
