Dreaming about a teacher you had as a child
Why do I dream about a teacher I have not seen in forty years?
The persistence is the notable fact here. Adults in their fifties and sixties report specific teachers by name, in specific rooms, with a clarity they cannot summon awake.
The teacher arrives with the school. That pairing is so consistent that these are usually better logged as school dreams than as person dreams, and dreamers who separate them lose the pattern.
Old settings and the people who belonged to them recur far out of proportion to how much anybody thinks about them, exactly as the grandparent and sibling entries describe.
The teacher is rarely elaborated beyond their role, which is the same construction the boss entry reports: a source of assessment rather than a person with anything to do.
Where this reads well
The recall detail is remarkable and worth recording, since it is genuinely better than waking memory.
Where it is harder
None commonly reported.
Worth asking yourself
Which teacher, and which room? How much detail did I have? Was the school there too?
Dream interpretation is subjective. Nothing here is a diagnosis, a prediction, or medical advice.
