The table is too small for the people, or too large, or the seats do not match the guests. Dreamers frequently count and recount.
Nothing is counting, so nothing has to match. The counting entry sets this out: above about four, quantity is not tracked, so a set of people and a set of chairs are two unstable numbers that were never reconciled.
The cooking entry finds the same failure with food, and dreamers describe the same recounting behaviour there. It is a genuine response to an unstable world rather than indecision.
