Dreaming about being caught in a storm
What does it mean to dream about being inside a storm?
Reported less often than the approach, and described very differently: noise, wind, water, a building failing, and an inability to hear or be heard.
The sensory overload is the reportable feature. Where most dream reports are visually dominated and thin on other senses, storm-interior reports are unusually full of sound, which is rare enough to be worth noting.
Dreamers frequently report being unable to make themselves heard, and that detail links these to the being-unable-to-speak material more than to the weather. Where somebody else is present and cannot be reached, that is usually the informative part of the dream.
Where this reads well
Some reports describe exhilaration rather than fear, particularly where the dreamer is sheltered and watching.
Where it is harder
Where somebody could not be reached, dreamers describe that as the part that stayed with them, not the storm.
Worth asking yourself
Could I hear anything? Was anybody else there? Could I make myself heard?
Dream interpretation is subjective. Nothing here is a diagnosis, a prediction, or medical advice.
