Dreaming about a fogged mirror or window
What does it mean to dream you cannot see your reflection?
A frequently reported detail, and it combines two failures.
A reflective surface, which dreams cannot keep consistent, and an obscured one, which is easier for them to produce than a clear one.
That is an efficient solution to a hard problem. The mirror entry finds reflections wrong, delayed or missing because nothing tracks them; fogging the glass removes the obligation entirely.
People regularly report wiping it and finding it fogs again, which is the never-the-same-twice mechanism: the cleared patch is regenerated rather than remembered.
