Dreaming about ruins that go on and on
What does it mean to dream a ruined place is enormous?
Scale is frequently wrong. Ruins are reported as far larger than they should be, with more of them than the dreamer expected, and the impossible-extent material applies directly.
This is the same finding as the endless library, the station with no edge and the attic with rooms in it. Space is produced where attention goes, and a dreamer who keeps walking keeps being given somewhere to walk.
Ruins are a particularly good setting for it because there is no plan to violate. A house with extra rooms is noticeably wrong; a ruin that continues is simply more ruin, so nothing in the dream ever has to object.
Which may be why these reports stay calm where the domestic versions do not.
