Nothing is wrong. The place is exactly right, and that is the problem: time has passed for the dreamer and not for it.
That is the expectation-violation pattern arriving from an unusual direction. The no-dust-where-there-should-be scenario finds the same thing, and both are unsettling for the same reason: an absence of change where change is owed.
It is a useful pair with the previous scenario, because between them they show that neither changing nor staying the same is what produces the feeling. Being outside it is.

An unusually clean pair, and the surprise dreamers report is itself informative.
Where it is harder
Harder to convey than the changed version, because nothing was wrong.
