Dreaming about a hare
Is dreaming about a hare different from dreaming about a rabbit?
Where dreamers distinguish it, yes, and the difference is consistent enough to record: larger, stiller, and described with more weight.
Rabbit reports are protective or crowded. Hare reports are neither. Dreamers describe a single animal, upright or motionless, and describe the encounter as significant without being able to say why.
That places the hare with the deer and fox reports rather than with the rabbit ones, which is a good example of dreamers' own distinctions being more useful than taxonomy.
Speed and disappearance are a third rabbit pattern and belong to that animal: gone before the dreamer can look properly, usually into a hole or undergrowth.
