Dreaming about what lightning reveals
What does it mean to see something in a flash of lightning?
Illumination is the dominant content of these reports, not danger.
Dreamers describe a landscape briefly lit and something in it that they had not seen before, and they remember what they saw rather than the flash. A figure standing in a field, a building, somebody at a window.
The structure is efficient and dreams use it well: a single moment of full detail, with everything before and after unrendered. That is close to how dreams work anyway, and lightning simply makes it explicit.
The seen thing is frequently not there when the next flash comes, which dreamers report as the disturbing part and which is ordinary construction rather than anything sinister.
Where this reads well
A vivid and memorable dream image, and one dreamers can usually recall in unusual detail.
Where it is harder
The thing revealed is often unpleasant, and the brevity means dreamers cannot check what they saw.
Worth asking yourself
What did I see? Was it there in the next flash? How much of the scene was lit?
Dream interpretation is subjective. Nothing here is a diagnosis, a prediction, or medical advice.
