Dreaming you cannot feed everybody

What does it mean to dream about a meal that goes wrong?

The frustration version, and it is a task dream rather than a food dream.

Preparation is interrupted, ingredients are missing, or there are more people to feed than there is anything to feed them with. Dreamers describe working continuously and getting no closer to done.

That is the same structure as the packing dreams, the being-late dreams and the exam dreams: effort, a deadline, and a task that grows faster than it is completed. Logged with those it stops looking like a dream about food.

The people waiting are usually present, usually patient, and rarely mentioned as the problem, which dreamers often notice on reflection.

Where this reads well

Easy to connect to real pressure, and dreamers can usually date these to a specific week.

Where it is harder

The mild social shame of it lingers, and it is disproportionate to a dream in which nobody complained.

Worth asking yourself

What was missing? Who was waiting? What am I currently behind on?

Dream interpretation is subjective. Nothing here is a diagnosis, a prediction, or medical advice.
