Dreaming about a kiss with no physical sensation
Why can I not feel anything in a kissing dream?
Reported often and rarely asked about, because dreamers assume it is a failure of their own recall. It is not.
Dreams reproduce touch far less reliably than sight or narrative, and dreamers frequently report knowing a kiss happened rather than experiencing one. The physical detail is thin across almost the whole database, not just here: taste and smell are barely reported at all.
That has a practical consequence for a journal. A dream with no sensation in it is not a lesser dream and does not mean the dreamer was less present. Record what was known as well as what was felt, or a whole class of dream goes unrecorded.
