Dreaming somebody tells you what to do and then goes
What does it mean to dream you cannot ask again?
A distinct and frustrating version: the instructions are given, the person leaves, and there is no way to check.
Dreamers rarely report following them successfully and rarely report finding the person again.
It combines the sequence failure with the non-arrival structure: the one thing that would resolve it is unavailable, in the same way the map does not match and the directions make no sense.
Instructions the dreamer knows are important and cannot hear properly connect to the voices and announcement material, where the explanation is the same: dreams produce the situation of being told and cannot produce the telling.
Where this reads well
Placing it with the announcement material shows it is one failure rather than two.
Where it is harder
Being unable to check is the durable part and these do not resolve.
