Dreaming you eat and are still hungry
Why does eating not work in dreams?
Because nothing was eaten, and the signal that prompted the dream is still there.
Dreamers describe eating without the hunger going, which is exactly what the drinking entry finds with thirst. Both are the body's signal arriving repeatedly and the dream's answer failing to address it, because the answer is imaginary.
Taste is absent throughout, which is the other half of the explanation. There is nothing to satisfy, in either sense.
That absence constrains the whole food section far more than the traditions suggest. A reading built on the pleasure of eating has nothing in the reports to stand on.
Where this reads well
A tidy mechanical account that covers the whole food group rather than just this record.
Where it is harder
Reported as frustrating, and it recurs within a single night.
Worth asking yourself
Could I taste anything? Did the hunger go? How many times did I try?
Dream interpretation is subjective. Nothing here is a diagnosis, a prediction, or medical advice.
