Dreaming about a hotel room that is not yours
What does it mean to dream about finding somebody else in your hotel room?
The other half of the hotel material, and the sharper one. The room is found, the key works, and it is occupied: somebody else's things, somebody else's bed, sometimes somebody else in it.
A hotel room is temporary belonging by definition, which is what makes it useful to dreams. It is yours and it is not, and the dream only has to remove one of those to produce something uncomfortable.
Dreamers frequently report apologising, which is a small and consistent detail worth noticing: the dreamer treats themselves as the intruder in a room they were told was theirs.
Where this reads well
Uncommon. Where the occupant is somebody known, reports are usually confused rather than distressing.
Where it is harder
The displacement is what persists. Dreamers describe having nowhere to be rather than being frightened.

Whose room was it? Did I apologise? Where was I supposed to be?
