Why does walking on glass hurt in a dream?
One of the very few images that reliably produces reported pain, alongside thorns and stings, and that makes it worth logging carefully.
Pain is close to absent from dream reports. The wound entry describes dreamers inspecting serious injuries and feeling nothing. So an image that consistently hurts is an outlier and the outlier is the interesting part.
Why these three is not settled. What they share is many small points of contact rather than one large injury, which may be doing something, but the reports cannot establish it and this page will not pretend otherwise.
