Dreaming about asking for directions and getting nowhere
Why can nobody help me when I am lost in a dream?
Reported constantly, and it fails in two quite different ways.
Sometimes the answer makes no sense: gestures, a direction with no landmark, words that will not resolve into instructions. Sometimes the failure is the dreamer's, and they cannot say where they are trying to get to. That second one is the more common and the more revealing.
Both are the information problem this database returns to. Dreams do not carry specific content well, and directions are specific content in its purest form. A destination that was never established cannot be asked for.
Log it with the reading and diagnosis reports rather than with the lost material. The failure is the same failure wearing different clothes.

Noticing that you could not name the destination is often the moment the whole dream makes sense.
Where it is harder
The people are usually helpful, which somehow makes it worse, and dreamers frequently report frustration at themselves rather than at them.

Where was I trying to get to? Could I have said? What was the answer I got?
