Dreaming about an eclipse years ago and still recalling it
Why do I remember this dream so clearly?

Dreamers report eclipse dreams from decades earlier with detail they cannot summon for last week's. The image is rare, and rare images are recalled far better than frequent ones.
That is a fact about memory rather than about eclipses, and it matters for how anybody reads their own dream life. The dreams you remember are not a fair sample of the dreams you have. Striking, rare and distressing ones survive; ordinary ones do not.
