Dreaming there is not enough food

What does it mean to dream you cannot feed everybody?

The second theme, and dreamers describe counting and recounting, which is the detail that gives it away.

Dreams do not count reliably. The number entry sets this out and the bag, the weeds and the rabbits all demonstrate it: quantity is a property nothing is tracking, regenerated differently each time attention returns.

So the recounting is not indecision. The number genuinely was different, and the dreamer is responding correctly to an unstable world.

That reframes the dream considerably. It is not about scarcity or provision; it is the counting failure arriving somewhere it has consequences.

Where this reads well

A satisfying explanation for a specific behaviour dreamers report and find strange in themselves.

Where it is harder

The social stakes make this the sharpest of the counting failures.

Worth asking yourself

Did I count more than once? Did the number change? How many people were there?

Dream interpretation is subjective. Nothing here is a diagnosis, a prediction, or medical advice.
